Snowre Hall is the magical medieval children's playhouse constructed for the 2008 RHS Chelsea Flower Show and for which display we won a trophy - one of only 8 between nearly 400 stands. It is modelled on the real Snowre Hall, built in Norfolk in 1410.
Constructed using a redwood timber frame, with a marine plywood outer skin, the house is fully insulated with heating and lighting available as optional extras. The thatched roof was completed by a local Norfolk master thatcher using 92 bundles of reed from Brancaster on the North Norfolk coast.
The external cladding, windows and doors are constructed from Sapele and inside you'll find two Oak floors. From the first storey children can exit down the slide or creep out through the secret doorway onto the balcony above the grand arched entrance, or sit in the medieval porch on the little seats within.
We can of course make a replica of Snowre Hall. The playhouse measures 3.2m (width) x 2.5m (depth) x 3.6m (height). Prices start from £27,995.00 excluding delivery. The thatch is nicely weathered and the house will be painted in colours to the clients choice. Click on the images below to enlarge.
