Project Brief: to design and construct a castle playground sympathetic to the surroundings of the National Trust property and a safe and exciting area for children to play. The playground had to include a ‘group swing’ (pictured right).

Located within an area surrounded by the castle walls, the castle apparatus was designed in sympathy to these walls which differ slightly from the architecture of the main castle. The colour was chosen by the client for its similarity to the grey stone walls.
The playground includes a host of play accessories located on and around the main apparatus including, a slide, sliding pole, climbing wall and nets, ladders, gantries, a see-saw, swings, group swing and three completely unique springies - one horse and two dragons (pictured right). The safety surface and installation was also completed by Flights of Fantasy.
The castle playground offers great value because of its flexibility in that it can be modified and customised to include alternative and or additional turrets and play accessories.
